Surolan®
Surolan is an FDA-approved drug containing Miconazole, Polymyxin B and Prednisolone in combination to address the majority of pathogens that cause Otitis externa as well as treat associated inflammation.
An important, synergistic action has been proven for the combination of Miconazole and Polymyxin B. In this unique formulation, the combination of Miconazole and Polymyxin B delivers a synergistic effect greater than either product alone, making Surolan the first choice for both new and bounce back cases. Additionally, Surolan’s unique formulation provides a topical antifungal/antibacterial option different from those used systemically, which may help minimize potential resistance issues. Surolan is FDA approved and available only by prescription by a licensed veterinarian.
