Liver problems? One solution, three choices.

When liver function is compromised...

One of the body’s largest organs, the liver, is involved in many vital metabolic and biochemical processes. One of the liver’s main functions is the provision of pathways for the disposal of waste products and the production of antioxidants such as glutathione peroxidase.

In a recent study, 51% of dogs and 82% of cats with liver problems were reported to be deficient in glutathione.1

Liver dysfunction often results in a drop in the production of S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe), which leads to reduced levels of hepatic glutathione.

Preventing the downward spiral of liver damage

Symptoms of liver dysfunction are often vague and subtle (especially in the early stages of liver disease) and its etiology often remains unclear. Regardless of the cause, support of the liver is crucial to ensure optimal health and longevity. The exogenous administration of SAMe is recommended to improve hepatic glutathione levels2 and has been shown to have a direct effect on liver enzymes, bile acids, and total bilirubin.

Zentonil® (S-Adenosylmethionine)
The only S-Adenosylmethionine product on the veterinary market available in three strengths for more accurate dosing

A new option for the relief of hepatic problems

Pure, stabilized salt of S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe)
Produced with high-quality compounds under strict pharmaceutical standards (unlike SAMe products for humans, that can vary significantly in quality and concentration)
Provides a safe and effective therapeutic tool for the relief of hepatic distress
S-Adenosylmethionine has been clinically proven in veterinary trials to safely and effectively support and protect hepatocellular function in pets.
Protects hepatocytes from cell death4 and contributes to hepatocellular2 regeneration
Well tolerated with an exceptionally wide margin of safety
No reported adverse effects
No known drug interactions (may actually protect against oxidative tissue injury that can be caused by certain toxins or drugs such as acetaminophen, prednisone, etc.)
