Pro-Biolac™ for Puppies
Description of Pro-Biolac for Puppies
Pro-Biolac is formulated as a supplement to mother's milk. Whenever possible, puppies should receive their mother’s milk for the first two days. This mother’s colostrum milk provides extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases. When indicated, Pro-Biolac may be used to fortify the ration of bitches to help meet the increased nutritional requirements in late gestation and early lactation.

Feeding Directions for Pro-Biolac for Puppies
DIRECTIONS FOR MIXING: Using the enclosed (1 Tbsp.) scoop, add 2 scoops powder to 3 scoops warm water and mix until all powder is dissolved. This dilution will make approximately 2 ounces (60 mL) of formula. Complete canister will yield approximately 64 ounces of reconstituted formula. Do not prepare more formula than can be used in 24 hours. Refrigerate reconstituted formula.
DIRECTIONS FOR FEEDING: Feed reconstituted formula at body temperature. Use of a nurser bottle is recommended. Feed puppies at least 2 tablespoons (30 mL) per 4 ounces (113 g) of body weight daily. Divide the daily feeding amount into equal portions for each feeding. Small or young puppies will need to be fed 6 to 8 times daily. Larger puppies may do well being fed 4 times daily. Puppies should be allowed to consume as much formula as they want during each feeding. Increase or decrease the amount fed based on the individual needs of each puppy. If diarrhea develops, consult your veterinarian for advice. Always wash feeding and mixing utensils with hot soapy water, rinse well, and dry after each use.
Weaning Puppies: When puppies are old enough to lap, begin offering reconstituted formula in a shallow bowl. After puppies begin to lap, mix reconstituted formula with puppy food to form a thin gruel. Gradually increase the amount of puppy food and decrease the amount of formula until puppies are eating only puppy food. Ensure that fresh water is always available.
Pregnant and Lactating Bitches: Feed 2 teaspoons (4 g) per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) body weight daily until 2 weeks after whelping.
Growing Puppies, Show Dogs and Convalescing Dogs: Supplement regular ration with 1 teaspoon (2 g) of Pro-Biolac™ per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) body weight daily.
