Description

Vetprofen contains carprofen, the most widely used and clinically proven NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) in veterinary medicine. It’s a generic product that carries the same quality and support as the brand name drug — at a cost that’s more affordable to pet owners. Plus, it is backed by Vetoquinol’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

Carprofen works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, the chemicals that cause inflammation. Most dogs respond quickly to carprofen, sometimes within a few days of treatment.

Vetprofen is an FDA-approved, prescription-only product.

Indications

Vetprofen is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

Vetprofen is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.

As a class, NSAIDS may be associated with gastrointestinal, kidney and liver side effects. These are usually mild, but may be serious. Pet owners should discontinue therapy and contact their veterinarian immediately if side effects occur. Evaluation for pre-existing conditions and regular monitoring are recommended for pets on any medication, including Vetprofen. Use with other NSAIDS or corticosteroids should be avoided.
